About the Role

We're seeking a talented UX Designer to join our team in New York. As a UX Designer, you'll be responsible for defining user experience for our applications, working closely with business users to understand needs and provide definition to business problems, and collaborating with engineers to identify new product opportunities and define user flows.

Responsibilities

* Define user experiences for new and existing internal products in the financial space
* Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and production-quality visual designs
* Work within and maintain our design system, setting standards for color, type, and interaction
* Collaborate with designers across other teams to workshop solutions, share insights, and feedback, and help grow the firm's design culture
* Validate designs and concepts through usability testing

Requirements

* 3 years of experience in UX design, with a strong understanding of web standards, capabilities, and best practices around common web technology
* 3 years of experience in wireframe/visual design, with the ability to use modern design tools to design and prototype designs (Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, InVision, Principle, etc.)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work across users and engineers
* Basic understanding of HTML/CSS (coding ability is not required but is a significant plus)
