Responsibilities:

  • Perform clinical diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures, including general imaging studies, cardiac studies, and therapeutic radionuclide administrations.
  • Perform the computer processing associated with diagnostic examinations.


Typical Physical Demands:

Essential:

standing, sitting, walking, stooping/bending, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking, lifting/carrying usual weight of 1 pound up to 30 pounds, patient movement: pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds; lifting: horizontal lift/carry up to 50 pounds, and repetitive arm and wrist movement consistent with computer/mouse usage.


Occasional:
kneeling, squatting, twisting body, reaching above, at, and below shoulder, repetitive arm/hand motions.

  • Operates computer, gamma cameras, radiation detectors.


Typical Working Conditions:

  • Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
  • Exposure to radioactive materials and radiation.
  • Must be able to adjust schedule for \u201Con-call\u201D coverage involving, but not limited to, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.


Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Certification and Licensure:

  • Current Hawaii State license as a Nuclear Medical Technologist.
  • Current BLS/HCP certification.


Experience:

  • Experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist preferred.
