Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Ascension St. Vincent in Indiana. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for operating a scanner to obtain high-quality images used to diagnose and treat various pathologies.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and position patients for MRI examinations, ensuring accurate anatomic and technical parameters.
  • Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination.
  • Enter and monitor patient data, transfer images from disk to magnetic media, and develop film in an automatic processor.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS, including correct lead markers and patient data/history.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any potential problems or malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date.
  • One or more of the following certifications: Cardiographic Tech (CCI), Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), Medical Sonographer (ARDMS), or equivalent.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
