Security Officer

The Memorial Hospital of Gardena is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to ensure the safety and protection of our healthcare environment. The Security Officer will play a crucial role in safeguarding the premises, patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular patrols of the facility and grounds to maintain a secure environment.
  • Investigate incidents of theft, disturbances, and any suspicious behavior.
  • Assist in managing patient restraints and intervening during disruptive situations.
  • Regulate access to the facility and activate security alarm systems as necessary.
  • Monitor activities, document observations, and question individuals without authorization.
  • Respond promptly to reports of violent incidents and aid in the restraint of aggressive individuals.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience as a security officer in a healthcare setting.
  • High School diploma or equivalent educational background.
  • Possession of a valid Guard Card, Basic Life Support Certification (BLS), and MAB (AB508) certification.
