Job Title: Speech Advisor

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Advisor to join our team at Grand Forks Public School District. As a Speech Advisor, you will be responsible for guiding students in developing their public speaking skills and leading them to success in speech tournaments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive public speaking program that meets the needs of students at Central High School.
  2. Collaborate with coaches and administrators to coordinate travel and tournament schedules.
  3. Provide regular practices and coaching to students to help them improve their public speaking skills.
  4. Prepare students for speech tournaments by developing speaking materials and coordinating travel arrangements.
  5. Supervise and judge speech tournaments to ensure a fair and competitive environment.
  6. Collaborate with high school and middle school coaches to develop and implement a comprehensive speech program.
  7. Recruit and manage judges for speech tournaments.
  8. Coordinate and host an end-of-year awards ceremony to recognize student achievements.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor to support the success of the speech program.

Requirements:

  • Previous coaching or teaching experience is preferred.
  • ND Teaching certification or a professional background in education is preferred.
