Job Summary

This is a part-time faculty position in the English department at College of the Redwoods. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching face-to-face English Composition classes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach English Composition classes to students with varying skill levels and learning styles.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that meets departmental and college standards.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Engage in professional development activities to stay current in the field of English Composition.
Requirements
  • Masters in English, literature, comparative literature, or composition, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching English Composition at the community college level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in English or a related field.
  • Experience with curriculum development and implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of English Composition pedagogy and best practices.
