Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Direction: Provide visible leadership to management and employees, fostering a restaurant atmosphere focused on great hospitality.
  • Operational Excellence: Work within existing policies and procedures to ensure goals are achieved relating to revenue and growth.
  • Talent Management: Attract, retain, and motivate associates; interview, hire, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach, and counsel, conduct performance and salary reviews, resolve problems, provide open communications and recommend discipline and termination, as appropriate.
  • Performance Evaluations: Conduct performance evaluations on a timely basis; recommend promotions or corrective actions when appropriate and ensure that general managers are doing the same.
  • Best Practices: Supervise the implementation of best practices and provide training and mentoring.
  • Financial Management: Forecast, implement, monitor, control and report on the budgets and their components (labor costs, food costs, beverage costs, supplies, equipment, etc.) to maximize revenue and minimize expenses.
  • Customer Experience: Respond to customer trends, needs, issues, comments and problems to ensure a quality experience and enhance future sales prospects.
  • Marketing and Promotions: Create, recommend and implement promotions, displays, food presentations and ideas to bring in more guests and gain a larger share of the local market.
  • Facilities and Maintenance: Monitor and control the maintenance and sanitation of all areas of the restaurant and equipment to protect the assets, comply with regulations and ensure quality service.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that operational and training standards are consistently followed and executed.
  • Availability and Flexibility: Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelors degree and equivalent work-related experience is strongly preferred.
  • Restaurant Experience: 3+ years of full employment in a restaurant or related position.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Requires thorough knowledge of restaurant practices and procedures to analyze data, diagnose issues, and coach the operations team accordingly.
  • Decision Making and Problem Solving: Ability to make decisions which are guided by established policy and procedures.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to be concise, well organized, complete, and clear; have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Time Management and Adaptability: Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to move throughout all food and beverage areas and continuously perform essential job functions.
