We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Process Control Engineering organization at the Mon Valley Works operation in the Pittsburgh, PA area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and support of process control automation systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining mathematical models, reporting, screen design, and web page development.
- Supporting production servers, applications, SCADA, and server network communications.
- Collaborating closely with Corporate Research & Technology, Engineering, and Plant Operations Leadership to define process control strategy and develop solutions.
- Partnering with plant operations and global peer leaders to develop, support, and champion the application of process control best practices.
Requirements include:
- A Bachelor's or Associates degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
- Classroom and/or project experience in software design, programming concepts, and one of the following computer languages: C, Java, C#, or Python.
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
- Java, C, C#, and/or Python programming skills.
- Visual Studio experience.
- Linux and Windows operating system experience.
We are looking for motivated self-starters that can work in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
The successful undergraduate will be an analytical problem solver, have an extremely high level of customer focus, and a passion for process improvement.
In addition, a successful intern will have:
