Senior Reinsurance Analyst

At Hire Point Recruiting, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Reinsurance Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our reinsurance team, you will play a critical role in supporting the management of property, casualty, and marine treaties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the Legal department to ensure accurate and timely reporting to regulatory bodies.
  • Oversee security compliance between our company and key reinsurance partners, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal standards.
  • Facilitate treaty negotiations, including the preparation and delivery of materials required for negotiations.
  • Evaluate and update contracts and clauses as necessary, working closely with the Legal department.
  • Manage reinsurance reporting requirements, including risk profiles and credit risk management reports.
  • Ensure accurate entry of reinsurance terms into the reinsurance system and timely delivery of necessary documentation to external parties.
  • Act as an expert in the complex accounting of reinsurance balances, ensuring proper booking, payment, and cash flow management.
  • Develop and present financial analysis reports to support active reinsurance placements.
  • Address queries from reinsurers, ensuring accurate data reporting and timely payment of premiums and claims.
  • Oversee and document processes, create guidelines for domestic and international treaties, and support audit compliance and SOX controls.
  • Provide support to underwriters and claims teams, collaborating with various internal and external business partners.
  • Participate in special projects and multi-departmental teams as required.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis to support ongoing business needs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Actuarial Studies, or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • A minimum of 8 years of related experience in reinsurance.
  • Strong negotiation, organizational, and time management skills.
  • CPCU or related reinsurance education (e.g., IIA Associate Degree in Reinsurance) is advantageous.
