Paw Prints Animal Hospital, a CareVet partner, is seeking a dynamic full-time Veterinarian to join our growing practice in Topeka, Kansas. This small animal practice offers a collaborative and tenured team environment, with a focus on providing high-quality care to our patients and their owners.
About the PositionWe are looking for a full-time DVM to join our two-doctor small animal practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced veterinarian seeking a long-term position or a new graduate looking for mentorship and professional growth.
About the HospitalPaw Prints Animal Hospital has been proudly serving the greater Topeka area for over 35 years. Our hospital provides a range of services, including dentistry, therapeutic laser, digital x-ray, and boarding. We are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, including a Midmark Vet Pro 1000 dental unit, surgical monitors, and in-house IDEXX lab equipment.

- Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problems
- Treat and dress wounds
- Perform surgery on animals
- Test for and vaccinate against diseases
- Operate medical equipment, such as x-ray machines
- Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments
- Prescribe medication
- Work closely with team members to provide high-quality care
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required
- Licensure in the state where the candidate will be working
- Ability to show compassion to both pets and their owners
- Outstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasks
- Ability to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animal
- Strong fondness and understanding of animals
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of animal behavior
- Ability to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research, and surgery of animals
