Position Overview:
As a Licensed Clinical Therapist within a school environment, you will play a crucial role in delivering mental health services to students. This position emphasizes collaboration with educational staff to ensure the well-being of students through evidence-based practices.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide individual and group therapy sessions to students referred by school personnel.
2. Conduct training and informational workshops for parents and community stakeholders regarding mental health issues and risk factors.
3. Facilitate therapeutic groups in both school and community settings, utilizing established evidence-based curricula.
4. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services in electronic health records and reporting systems.
5. Assist in crisis intervention and prevention strategies.
6. Build and maintain positive relationships with school staff through effective communication and accountability.
7. Offer consultation and training to educators on mental health awareness and prevention initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education: A Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related Human Services field is required.
Experience: Completion of a practicum and current licensure is mandatory.
Work Hours:
Standard hours are from 8 AM to 4 PM.
Physical Requirements:
This role involves significant walking, sitting, and standing, along with some lifting and physical intervention techniques. Candidates should be capable of meeting the physical demands of the position, including normal hearing and vision capabilities.
