About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at GATR Truck Center. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing heavy/medium/light truck repair and maintenance work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform work as outlined on repair orders with accuracy
  • Diagnose complaints and malfunctions on repair orders and document findings in detail
  • Communicate with Parts Department on local procedures to obtain needed parts
  • Examine assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended
  • Initiate and maintain contact with manufacturer and OEMs
  • Participate in manufacturer and dealership sponsored training programs, schools, and events
  • Road test vehicles when required
Requirements
  • Minimum 1-3 years experience as a Diesel Mechanic
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License
  • CDL certification preferred
  • Driving Record Insurable through Company Carrier
  • Ability to Read and Interpret Documents
  • Ability to Document/Communicate effectively
