Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Loan Originator Specialist to originate first mortgage loans and promote the Bank's lending services to the real estate community. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of banking industry practices, policies, regulations, and laws as it pertains to the mortgage lending area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Originate first mortgage loans and home equity loans through referral partners and community activities.
  • Complete loan applications and pre-processing functions, including obtaining necessary documentation from clients.
  • Screen loan requests based on bank policies and types of loans offered.
  • Research new legislation and regulations affecting residential lending policies and ensure compliance.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.


Requirements:
  • Five+ years of Mortgage Lending experience in a financial institution or loan office setting.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Finance or three years equivalent work experience.
  • Above-average knowledge of banking industry practices, policies, regulations, and laws.
  • Solid computer literacy with accurate data entry skills and ability to learn specific software required for the position.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects with varied deadlines.


Salary Estimate: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
