Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nutrition Care Associate to join our team at Intermountain Health. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest quality of food service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and present patient meal trays using a patient identifier process.
  • Stock and clean food service areas, including storerooms and patient rooms.
  • Independently resolve customer service issues and provide accurate cash and credit transactions.
  • Prepare and serve food, including salads, sandwiches, and fruit, while maintaining a clean and sanitary working environment.
  • Understand and prepare modified diets and recipes using appropriate techniques.
  • Maintain proper quantities of production and perform housekeeping functions, including cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, floors, and equipment.
Requirements
  • Food Handler's Permit (as required by the County).
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively, as well as handle problems and difficult situations.
  • Demonstrated basic math skills and ability to operate food service equipment or computer.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of food service or cashier experience.
  • Hospital food service experience.
