We are seeking an experienced Senior Electronics Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electronic systems and equipment in a correctional facility. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work effectively with inmates and staff.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • • Knowledge of tele-communication equipment and functionality
    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Considerable experience in electronics and CCTV troubleshooting

Benefits:

This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits. The salary range is $51,080 - $79,686.


Job Duties:
  1. 1. Supports the Department of Corrections' mission through the installation, repair, and maintenance of electronic systems/equipment in an adult correctional facility.
    2. Performs testing, preventive and corrective maintenance to maintain the integrity of existing structures and furnishings in accordance with federal, state, and local codes.
    3. Maintains inventory through planning and purchasing, and responds to work requests in a timely manner in a Total Maintenance System (TMS).
    4. Supervises inmate workers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of the facility.
    5. May respond to emergency callbacks for service on a rotating basis.
    6. May assist in other areas of Building and Grounds department, including preventative maintenance, construction projects, equipment repair, electrical, welding, carpentry, plumbing, or outside maintenance.

Additional Information:

Candidates must have knowledge of perimeter security and public address systems. A working knowledge of electronics theory, including troubleshooting, calibration, test procedures, and circuit analysis is also required. In addition, candidates should have knowledge of computers and peripheral equipment, as well as the ability to fabricate, modify, and perform component-level repairs on various electronic instruments.
