We are seeking a skilled Restaurant Host to join our team at Auberge Resorts Collection. As a key member of our hospitality team, this role is crucial in providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a positive experience from arrival to departure.



Key Responsibilities


  • Provide a warm welcome to guests, ensuring a seamless check-in and seating process.


  • Answer phone calls, take reservations, and manage in-room dining orders with efficiency and accuracy.


  • Coordinate with restaurant and pool staff to optimize guest placements, ensuring a smooth flow and minimizing overbooking.


  • Assist with the preparation of station charts, assign stations, and guide servers and support staff in setting up tables optimally.


  • Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the host station and assigned work areas.


  • Monitor and update guest profiles, VIP arrivals, and special requests using reservation systems.


  • Ensure menus and wine lists are clean, up-to-date, and well-stocked at all times.


  • Resolve guest complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction.


  • Familiarize yourself with all hotel services and local attractions, and respond accurately to guest inquiries.


  • Collaborate with Food and Beverage Management to set a positive tone for the restaurant environment.




Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:




  • Prior experience in customer service or hospitality, preferably in a high-end setting.


  • Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to speak and write in English fluently.


  • Must be of minimum age to serve alcohol.


  • Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including weekends and holidays.


  • Ability to obtain relevant state and local government certifications, such as food handlers certificates or alcohol training certifications, as applicable to the position.
