HCA Florida South Shore Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Services team as a PRN (as-needed) Operating Room Registered Nurse. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care in the operating room, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients undergoing surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and efficient surgical operations.
- Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Monitor and manage patient vital signs, administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure informed decision-making and optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- Licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure.
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
- Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
- Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
