Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Technician to join our team at the University System of New Hampshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining college data, organizing and presenting data from various sources, and generating reports to support data-driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update student, faculty, and staff records in a coordinated college database system.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of college data.
  • Generate reports and analyze data as required by administrative staff, faculty, and college leadership.
  • Uphold data security and confidentiality standards in accordance with university and college policies and regulations.
  • Assist in data collection for institutional research, accreditation, and compliance purposes.
  • Provide technical support and training to staff on database systems and data management practices.
  • Collaborate with IT staff to troubleshoot database issues and implement enhancements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in data management, preferably in an educational or healthcare setting.
  • Strong proficiency with database management systems (e.g., SQL, Oracle) and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of student information systems (SIS) and familiarity with relevant privacy regulations (e.g., FERPA, HIPAA) is a plus.
