Childcare Worker at Sammamish Presbyterian Church

The role of a childcare worker at Sammamish Presbyterian Church is an exciting opportunity to serve the families in the Sammamish area by providing safe and nurturing care for children. The job requires flexibility, as you may be working with babies or older elementary students depending on the need.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing Care: Deliver dependable, safe, secure, and nurturing care to children, including feeding, changing diapers, escorting to the bathroom, maintaining a safe environment, sanitizing areas after use, and engaging with children through games, stories, songs, and play.
  • Communication: Be polite, courteous, and friendly to all children, parents, and team members. Arrive on time, have the classroom ready, and stay until all children are with their parent/guardian.
  • Accountability and Supervision: Report any issues to the Childcare Team Lead and Director of Children's Ministry. Communicate planned absences with a two-week notice and unplanned absences with at least 24-hour notice.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Experience in caring for children between 0 to 11 years old with the ability to adapt and interact with various personalities (preferred but not required).
  • Age: At least 14 years old.
  • Certifications: Satisfactory completion of a background check and CPR certification for infants and children (will provide if needed).
  • Adherence: Must adhere to our Child Protection Policy Guidelines.

Salary: $20/hour
