As a compassionate and team-oriented Registered Nurse, you will partner with our Medical Staff to provide patient care that meets the highest standards of the medical field. Your responsibilities will include administering perianesthesia nursing care for patients, as well as pre and post-operation care. You will be responsible for following all established policies and procedures in accordance with standards and clinical best practice, and for following Physician directions accordingly.

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated RN to join our team in the Pacu and Medical Surgery department. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for delivering exceptional patient care and will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for providing clinical care to patients pre and post-operatively, and for utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to direct or provide superior nursing care.

Key Responsibilities include:
  1. Directs and/or provides professional perianesthesia nursing care for an assigned group of patients across the age continuum.
  2. Provides clinical care to patients pre and post-operatively
  3. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation to direct or provide superior nursing care.
  4. Provides supervision and guidance to other members of the PACU or pre-operative staff; may be authorized, in the absence of the Manager of Patient Services or the Manager of Surgical Services, to make decisions affecting the PACU or pre-operative area.
  5. Provides superior patient care at all times
  6. Interacts with staff members professionally, productively and courteously to support a strong culture

Qualifications:
  1. Demonstrates eligibility for employment in the United States
  2. An Associate degree from a school of nursing is required
  3. Current licensure in the State of Michigan
  4. Current BCLS certification
  5. Registered Nurse has 60 days from date of hire to obtain ACLS certification
  6. Ability to relate and work effectively with others
  7. Demonstrates excellent skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care, in order to meet documentation standards
  8. Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for professional advancement
