Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at Hutchinson Clinic P.A. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a critical role in collecting blood and other patient specimens, scheduling and advising patients for special laboratory tests and procedures, and distributing laboratory reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a professional and friendly atmosphere for patients, adhering to all lab/clinic policies and procedures.
  • Achieve competence in venipuncture procedures for pediatric and adult patients, ensuring patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Efficiently deliver specimens to the main lab, understanding the importance of specimen integrity.
  • Abide by Clinic policies and guidelines, achieving competence in swab collection procedures for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • On-the-job training.
  • Good communication skills, courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job.
  • Basic computer skills.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
  • Frequent standing, bending, and walking required for extended periods of time.
  • Requires visual acuity and normal color perception.
  • Lifts and carries items weighing up to 20 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand and bend.
  • Must be able to distinguish color gradients necessary in laboratory supplies.
