Position Overview:
The Sonographer I is an entry-level position focused on acquiring knowledge and skills in the field. This role requires collaboration with more experienced sonographers and healthcare professionals. The Sonographer I will follow established protocols and complete tasks effectively while providing care to patients and their families. This position necessitates a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, and eligibility for specialty registry through ARDMS or CCI. Current BLS certification from AHA is required, along with proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
The Sonographer II demonstrates a growing knowledge base in managing diagnostic tests for specific patient populations. This role requires advanced clinical reasoning and critical thinking skills, enabling the sonographer to effectively problem-solve using various testing modalities. The Sonographer II must have graduated from an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program with at least one year of experience; additional clinical experience or credentials may be considered in lieu of some educational requirements. A specialty registry through ARDMS or CCI and current BLS certification from AHA are also required, along with proficiency in English.
The Sonographer III exhibits advanced expertise in diagnostic testing management. This role necessitates focused critical thinking, the ability to integrate multi-system implications, and proactive observation and management of predictable events. Interdisciplinary collaboration and an outcome-oriented approach to care are essential. Candidates must have graduated from an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program with a minimum of five years of experience; additional clinical experience or credentials may be considered in lieu of some educational requirements. A specialty registry through ARDMS or CCI and current BLS certification from AHA are required, with dual registries preferred.
Shift:
Full-Time, Day Shift, with On-Call responsibilities, which may include evenings and weekends.
This position is based at our main facility, with occasional travel required to additional outpatient care centers in the region. Travel time may vary depending on traffic conditions, and compensation for travel will be provided outside of regular hours.
