Job Title: Surgical Technologist OR Position

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Springfield Memorial Hospital. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Job Summary:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of technical skill, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing patients for surgery, maintaining a sterile environment, and assisting the surgical team during procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for surgery by ensuring they are properly positioned and draped
  • Maintain a sterile environment by following proper protocols and procedures
  • Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the surgical team
  • Participate in the cleaning and disinfection of the operating room
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Surgical Technologist
  • BLS certification required, CST preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to maintain a sterile environment and follow proper protocols and procedures
