Job Summary

Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN East is a key role at Community Health Network, responsible for performing nuclear medicine and molecular imaging procedures or therapies under the supervision of an authorized user. This position requires exceptional communication, technical, and patient care skills, as well as the ability to work independently without direct supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, administer, and document activities related to ionizing radiation (radioactive material and/or computed tomography) and nonionizing radiation, medications, and radiation exposure in accordance with federal and state laws, regulations, and institutional policy.
  • Perform computed tomography exams that create the images needed for interpretation.
  • Collaborate with licensed practitioners to ensure accurate and efficient delivery of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging procedures.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of radiation safety protocols and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advancements in nuclear medicine and molecular imaging.

Requirements

  • Current license as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the State of Indiana.
  • Current ARRT(N) or NMTCB registry.
  • Two years of Nuclear Medicine clinical experience, or participation in an accredited Nuclear Medicine training program.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of sterile technique.
  • Exceptional communication, technical, and patient care skills.
