Job Description
Position Overview:
This role involves the assembly and support of various processes within the medical device manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute all assembly, testing, and refurbishment tasks on basic to intermediate electro-mechanical devices as required.
  • Understand and follow diverse instructions including work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering specifications.
  • Adhere to written and verbal instructions to construct electro-mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and components in a regulated environment.
  • Conduct in-process quality checks, including visual inspections, to ensure compliance with product specifications and report any defects.
  • Utilize testing equipment to confirm product specifications and employ inspection tools for verification.
  • Maintain a secure, safe, clean, and healthy work environment.
  • Participate in required training and comply with site safety and security policies.
  • Report accidents, injuries, safety hazards, or emergencies to leadership promptly and follow safety protocols.
  • Propose enhancements that contribute to improved quality and productivity.
  • Provide training and guidance to new assemblers and assist in cross-training employees on various assembly tasks.
  • Keep accurate records related to quality, work in progress, and testing results.

Participation:
  • Engage in production meetings and communicate on-line exceptions and metrics to leadership.
  • Ability to work 10-hour shifts, four days a week, with potential for overtime as necessary.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing, technical service/support, or assembly, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in navigating Windows OS and MS Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Comfortable using laptops, touchscreen computers, and related electronic devices.

Competencies:
  • Ability to perform technical writing, both handwritten and digital.
  • Adaptability to fast-paced and changing environments.
  • Demonstrated sound judgment and customer focus.
  • Effective communication skills with fellow assemblers, technicians, engineers, and supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with electronic assembly instructions and ERP systems.
  • Background in Manufacturing, Production, or Warehouse environments.
  • Familiarity with tools and component assembly.
  • Coachable and adaptable to evolving business needs.
