Job Summary

BayCare is seeking a skilled Cytotechnologist to join our team at South Florida Baptist Hospital in Plant City, FL. As a Cytotechnologist, you will play a critical role in evaluating and diagnosing non-GYN and GYN cases for pathologist review, performing rapid on-site evaluations for FNA procedures, and maintaining equipment and supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and diagnose non-GYN and GYN cases for pathologist review
  • Perform rapid on-site evaluations for FNA procedures, including CT-guided and US-guided procedures
  • Maintain equipment, supplies, and instrumentation
  • Assist in the cytopreparatory lab as needed
  • Work independently and in a team environment

Requirements:

  • ASCP Certified Technologist in Cytology
  • State of Florida License Clinical Laboratory Personnel - Cytotechnologist
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Preferred: 2 years of cytology experience
