Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled BIW Design Engineer to join our team at Intellectt Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing high-volume Body-in-White (BIW) designs, creating 3D designs and 2D drawings using CATIA V6, and collaborating with Automotive OEM design engineers to drive design projects.

Responsibilities

  1. Design and develop BIW designs for high-volume production, ensuring compliance with design for manufacturing principles.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality, to ensure seamless design-to-production transitions.
  3. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, technical reports, and design change notices.
  4. Participate in design reviews and provide input on design improvements and cost reductions.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve design processes and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in BIW design engineering, with a focus on high-volume production.
  • Proficiency in CATIA V6 and other relevant design software.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to interpret CAE simulation results and integrate recommendations into product design.
