We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our Quality Laboratory team at Werfen. As a Medical Technologist, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to quality control, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor supply inventory and identify products required for quality control purposes.
- Inspect incoming components for compliance with company specifications.
- Prepare chemical solutions, reagents, calibrators, and standards according to laboratory procedures.
- Operate, clean, and maintain department equipment, including computers, printers, incubators, centrifuges, and spectrophotometers.
- Accurately calculate the amount of in-process components or products received, used, or rejected.
- Perform statistical analyses of department processes and understand FDA and ISO standards applicable to the department.
- Meet achievement levels established for competency evaluation and follow company procedures for training documentation.
- Assist the department supervisor and/or manager with investigations, root cause analyses, and reports of out-of-specification results and deviations.
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Life Sciences, or other science or technical field.
- MT(ASCP) or MT(AMT) with 1-3 years of blood banking experience, or MLT(ASCP) or MLT(AMT) with 4-6 years of blood banking experience.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
