Job Summary:

As a Registered Nurse with Advantage Behavioral Health Systems, you will provide direct, technical nursing care functions in accordance with individual nursing care plans and as directed by attending physicians to clients with behavioral health and/or substance use disorders in an outpatient behavioral health clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct initial and on-going nursing assessments, behavioral health assessments (as needed), and administer medications including injections.
Assist with client bridge requests, treatment planning, discharge planning, and orders for services.
Provide education to clients about medications and treatment, and identify clients' health education/information needs.
Maintain adequate supply of necessary medications, samples, and lab supplies needed, and conduct and record audits of medications for expiration dates and other data according to established guidelines.
Coordinate with Business Manager for re-ordering of lab supplies needed, and perform various health screenings according to established guidelines.
Collect specimens for diagnostic testing according to established procedures, and order lab work per protocol.
Provide initial and on-going assessments, and interview clients to obtain thorough medical history and/or determine extent of illness.
Enter assessments into client chart for use by prescriber, and provide outpatient behavioral health psychoeducational groups to clients as needed.

Requirements:

Current Georgia license to practice as a Registered Nurse
