Job Summary

Pinnacle Logistics is a leading provider of surface transportation and supply chain management services. We are seeking a skilled and experienced CDL Class A driver to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation of Freight: Safely operate a tractor/trailer in the transportation of freight in accordance with Company, Federal, State and Local laws, as well as FMCSA regulations.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain records required for compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
  • Equipment Security: Ensure the security of equipment and cargo.
  • Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safe working conditions of the tractor and trailer prior to each trip and at the end of each trip.
  • Maintenance Reporting: Promptly report all maintenance problems to Fleet Services and/or supervision.
  • Discrepancy Reporting: Verify AWB numbers and piece counts versus paperwork given and report any discrepancies to your supervisor.
  • Technology Use: Required to use in-cab technology, including electronic logs and tablets.
  • Schedule Flexibility: May be required to drive different schedules and work the dock based on business needs.
  • Customer Service: Provide professional and courteous service to our customers and the general public.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or General Educational Degree (GED), or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Age and Experience: 21 years of age required per FMCSA regulations (2-year driving experience required).
  • Local P&D: Local P&D willing to unload appliance trailers and touch freight to unload with Pallet jack and appliance dolly.
  • Commercial Driver's License: Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
  • Physical Demands: Must be capable of dropping/hooking and coupling trailers, which involves cranking landing gear, pulling 5th wheel pin (approximately 65 lbs. of pressure), and maneuvering a trailer dolly.
  • Medical Requirements: Must be able to provide an acceptable MVR and produce a valid medical card.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Must be familiar with state motor vehicle laws and FMCSA rules and regulations.
  • Testing: Must pass a road test.
  • Company Policies: Must be able to comply with all company policies, rules, procedures, and Code of Conduct.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Must be able to interact well with others.
  • Time Management: Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
  • Background Check: Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and/or alcohol tests, and will be subject to a criminal history background check.
