Surety Bond Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surety Associate to join our team at IMA Financial Group. As a Surety Associate, you will play a critical role in preparing and processing surety bonds, reporting bonds to surety companies, and assisting with various projects.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and process surety bonds, including bonds, consents, riders, applications, and indemnity agreements
- Report bonds to surety companies and prepare invoices for new bonds, premium adjustments, and renewals
- Obtain bid results and reports to sureties and handle electronic filing, copying, delivery, and overnight packages
- Assist with gathering and maintaining client underwriting files and support the Surety Manager with various projects
- Interact professionally and timely with clients and underwriters via email, phone, and in-person
- Perform functions of the role within an IMA office 100% of the time and support and demonstrate IMA's core values
- Minimum 2 years of experience preparing and processing surety bonds
- Attain and maintain California Property and Casualty Insurance license, including all mandatory CE requirements
- Attain and maintain California Notary Commission
- Possess and maintain a current valid driver's license
- Detail-oriented with strong priority management skills and strong communications skills for contact with clients and surety companies
- Experience with problem-solving and ability to perform intermediate-level mathematics
- Proficiency with MS Office products (Outlook, Word, and Excel), EPIC, and FoxIt preferred
