Job Title: Pediatric Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Nurse Specialist to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As a Pediatric Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to children and adolescents in a variety of settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care that reflect assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient outcomes.
  • Ensure that patient care meets the highest standards of practice and is reflective of admission or outpatient database, on-going findings, age-appropriate care, culturally specific needs, and appropriate acuity.
  • Monitor patient progress and revise plans as necessary based on patient condition and evaluation of progress.
  • Ensure effective development and completion of discharge plans, including discharge barriers and patient/family education.
  • Provide optimal pain control and patient comfort, and identify and discuss patient anxieties, fears, or concerns regarding patient condition, treatment, or discharge.
Requirements:
  • Current RN license in California
  • Minimum of two years of current RN Pediatric experience
  • Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
  • Active unencumbered RN California state license
  • PALS Certification required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BLS and ACLS
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • The ability to stand for extended periods
  • Strong technical skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Passionate about patient care
