We are currently looking for a Logistics Operations Supervisor to enhance our team. In the Moving & Storage sector, this role is crucial in overseeing daily operations, managing our fleet of drivers, crew members, contractors, and the customer service and sales teams. The Operations Supervisor will be attuned to our customers' needs and concerns, working diligently to ensure a satisfactory experience for every client.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Logistics Operations Supervisor include, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing a fleet of drivers, crew, and contractors to ensure timely service while maintaining accurate data integrity;
  • Supervising the customer service and sales teams;
  • Routing and managing delivery teams to optimize capacity and enhance customer satisfaction;
  • Training local crew members and contractors;
  • Monitoring the condition and maintenance of facilities and equipment;
  • Maintaining a high-quality customer service rating;
  • Understanding the needs and concerns of end-user customers regarding home delivery.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (required);
  • Preferred secondary education in business operations;
  • A minimum of 1 year of supervisory or management experience with employee oversight;
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in the Household Moving or Trucking industry;
  • Preferred experience with budgeting and forecasting;
  • Ability to maintain an organized workspace and complete tasks on schedule;
  • Strong multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment;
  • Solid knowledge of the geographic region;
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills;
  • Understanding of furniture moving challenges and damage prevention strategies;
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills;
  • Willingness to learn various computer programs, with prior experience in Microsoft Excel and Word;
  • Self-motivated and driven by daily challenges.
