Optimum Oral Surgery is a dynamic and patient-centered practice seeking an exceptional Oral Surgery Assistant to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Assistant to provide exceptional support to our oral surgeons during procedures. As an integral member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and efficient working environment, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist oral surgeons with various surgical procedures, including preparing patients, setting up equipment, and maintaining a sterile environment;
  • Monitor patient status, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with the dental team;
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to infection control protocols and OSHA guidelines;
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operations and excellent patient experiences;
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required;
  • BLS certification (or completed within 1 month of hire);
  • Strong teamwork and independent work capabilities, demonstrating good judgment and critical thinking;
  • Passion for ensuring safety and exceptional attention to detail, vigilance, and meticulousness;
  • Basic computer proficiency;
  • Excellent manual dexterity and superior listening skills, especially in emergency scenarios;
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous oral surgery experience beneficial;
  • DAANCE certification desirable;
  • Licensed dental assistant status preferred;
  • Radiology certification a plus.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
