Supplemental Health Care is seeking a skilled Travel Nurse to join our team as a Correctional Healthcare Specialist. As a Travel Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, providing high-quality patient care in a correctional setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to inmates in a correctional facility, including medication administration, immunizations, and emergency first aid.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Conduct health assessments, identify health risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Participate in health education programs and provide guidance to inmates on healthy lifestyle choices.
- Document patient care and treatment plans in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Active Washington RN License
- Minimum 1-year prior nursing experience
- American Heart Association BLS
- Corrections nursing experience is a plus
- Ability to pass a background check
