Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Excellence: Provide leadership and innovation to ensure that production units are run safely, efficiently, and in compliance with environmental permits.
  • Process Optimization: Optimize throughput, yield, and efficiency of the process through daily analysis and recommendations.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot quality excursions and process upsets and implement solutions to drive improvements.
  • Change Management: Support Management of Change (MOC) and Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR) processes as needed to ensure safety of process changes.
  • Performance Metrics: Track and enter asset capability (OEE) data for the production units.
  • Incident Investigation: Lead incident investigations and RCFAs.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement process improvements or capital improvements to drive long-term success of the operating units.
  • Financial Reporting: Perform end of month financial/reporting/closing duties for assigned area products.
  • Budgeting: Provide input to the budget and capital planning process.
  • Safety and Compliance: Participate in plant-sponsored safety processes and promote and support core values.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members with different backgrounds and perspectives.
  • Employee Development: Assist other employees in accomplishments of company goals.
Requirements
  • Education: BS in Chemical Engineering.
  • Experience: 10 years of experience working in process industries required. 15+ years of experience preferred.
  • Skills: Strong experience in a similar role working in an ethylene manufacturing process preferred. Proficient with Internet, Email, and Microsoft Office programs. Strong computer skills, including process simulation tools such as Aspen.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization. Able to manage multiple priorities. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment. Ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop engineering solutions.
