As a Genetics Nurse Coordinator at LifeBridge Health, you will play a vital role in assisting patients and their caregivers through the continuum of care. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing and assimilating oncology educational materials, ensuring seamless communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care, including assessment, education, and advocacy, to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
- Administrative: Develop and maintain databases to track key performance indicators, such as patient satisfaction, referral patterns, and clinical trial accrual.
- Communication: Foster effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Professional Development: Identify training opportunities for staff and self, recommending development activities to enhance professional growth.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from a CCNE-accredited institution
- 3-5 years of related experience in oncology nursing
- Active Maryland Registered Nurse License
- American Heart Association CPR Certification
- OCN certification strongly preferred
