Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team in Interventional Radiology. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for performing angiography and specialized abdominal and neurovascular procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients and equipment for catheterization procedures, including preparing the site of entry, draping the patient, and arranging sterilized instruments and catheters.
  • Perform specialized vascular and neuro procedures, including angiography and other imaging modalities.
  • Select and modify technical factors to produce optimum diagnostic results with minimal radiation exposure to the patient.
  • Assist and support physicians during specialized vascular and neuro radiographic procedures.
  • Administer contrast media under the direct supervision of a physician.
  • Assist with the department's quality control program and test, monitor, and maintain equipment for proper and safe operation.
  • Restock supplies as needed and maintain availability on a rotational call schedule for procedures after normal hours.
  • Support the Vascular OR with technical coverage and may act as a preceptor and instructor for new technologists and students.
Requirements
  • Current licensure to practice as a Radiologic Technologist in the State of Utah.
  • ARRT Registration as a Radiologic Technologist R.T. (R) (ARRT).
  • Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system.
  • Preferred qualifications include six (6) months of Angiography experience, ARRT Registration as R.T. (VI), and ACLS certification.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands

This position involves intensive work that may exert up to 100 pounds and may consistently require lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving objects, such as medical equipment, or patients while providing medical care.
