Job Summary:

The Deming Public Schools is seeking a qualified Softball Coach to lead our team to success. As a Head Softball Coach, you will be responsible for teaching sports techniques, playing rules, strategies, and playing tactics to our athletes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching sports techniques, playing rules, strategies, and playing tactics to athletes.
  • Conditioning athletes appropriately for activities requiring endurance, strength, and agility.
  • Supervising and conducting practices and contests safely; supervising locker rooms and buses.
  • Teaching sportsmanship, cooperation, work ethic, and responsibility to one's team.
  • Monitoring athletes' school attendance, grades, and personal conduct.
  • Responding to player injuries with approved first aid techniques.
  • Managing uniforms, equipment, and school facilities in a responsible manner.

Requirements:

  • A coaching license or a coaching application with results from the NMAA.
