Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Planner/Scheduler to join our team at Agrati Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring production schedules are implemented within assigned factories, troubleshooting and analyzing internal production issues, and coordinating multiple activities to assure on-time delivery and production goals are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with various associates and departments to schedule orders for production and follow through on released work orders.
  • Utilize KANBAN as an effective method to achieve JIT deliveries and research and forecast raw material and supplies consumption.
  • Assist Procurement Department in identifying and ordering raw materials and supplies, and interface with production to resolve problems relevant to wire receipt, raw material quality, quantity verification, cost allocation, and wire issuance to production.
  • Monitor resource requirements to assure schedule requirements are met and interface with other departments to resolve problems with timely delivery or production issues.
  • Provide input into capital equipment justification, coordinate and work with process technicians in the operation of plant equipment and fastener manufacturing and testing methods, and facilitate lean manufacturing initiatives that are tied to cost reduction, process improvements, and new business development.
  • Coordinate various projects tied to process improvements and production needs, demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement daily, and take the initiative to resolve production, planning, and purchasing issues without supervision.
  • Perform other tasks as needed in support of manufacturing operations, customers, and suppliers, and adhere to all company policies and procedures and environmental health and safety rules.
Requirements
  • Prefer Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering, or Associates Degree in any of these three fields.
  • Knowledge of production planning, inventory management, JIT concepts, and PLEX is a plus.
  • Minimum of five years of manufacturing experience in the metal working industry, with fastener manufacturing preferred.
  • Must be familiar with a wide variety of manufacturing processes, have strong leadership and communication skills, and be PC literate.
  • Demonstrated commitment to employee involvement, participative management, and continuous improvement.
