Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Analytical Chemist to join our team at Archer Daniels Midland Company. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing advanced chemical analysis of samples, developing testing methods, and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our analytical results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sample Analysis: Perform enzyme activity assays and other advanced chemical analysis of samples submitted to our laboratory.
  • Method Development: Develop and validate testing methods for samples, and calibrate and maintain analytical instrumentation.
  • Quality Control: Ensure the accuracy and reliability of analytical results, and maintain laboratory record-keeping systems for regulatory compliance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with scientific peers to design and implement testing projects, and provide technical support and guidance as needed.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance laboratory efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field.
  • Experience: Three years of laboratory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skills: Expertise in advanced analytical techniques and state-of-the-art laboratory instrumentation, excellent problem-solving and project design skills, and ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Working Environment

This role will be based in our analytical laboratory, where you will work with a variety of raw materials and chemical reagents. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment, including lab coats, gloves, safety glasses, and respirators, as defined by our safety policy.
