About the Role

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Direct Patient Care
    • Implement and monitor patient care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
    • Monitor and record patient condition, including vital signs and medication administration.
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Coordinate Patient Care
    • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care.
    • Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
  • Administer Medications and Treatments
    • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing protocol.
    • Monitor and document patient response to medications and treatments.
  • Provide Education and Support
    • Assess educational needs of patients and families, considering cultural and other special concerns.
    • Provide teaching and educational materials as needed.
  • Maintain Professional Growth
    • Participate in ongoing formal and informal education and clinical nursing study to maintain professional growth and development.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Certifications
    • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) may be required for certain positions.
  • Work Experience
    • Minimum one year of current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting.
  • Physical Requirements
    • Ability to lift and move patients, equipment, and supplies.
    • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
