Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect all glass products for imperfections such as chips, bubbles, scratches, and ensure proper edgework.
  • Utilize a buffer to polish any identified defects.
  • Maintain machinery and tools in optimal condition, performing routine cleaning and light maintenance.
  • Measure products accurately to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Label and tag glass products appropriately.
  • Read, interpret, and execute work orders efficiently.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while working.
  • Train to assist in the assembly of wooden crates as needed.

Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills to review work orders, input data, and print necessary documents.
  • Ability to read and perform calculations involving numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated, capable of working independently and collaboratively.
  • A strong commitment to safety in the workplace, fostering a supportive environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, lift, bend, twist, walk, push, pull, and reach frequently.
  • Capability to perform heavy lifting and moving of materials weighing up to 75 pounds regularly.
  • Willingness to work in a non-climate-controlled environment, with protection from weather conditions.
  • Close visual acuity is required for tasks such as reading work orders and inspecting materials.
