Job Summary

The Entertainment Community Fund is seeking a skilled Social Worker to join our Workplace Initiatives Program as a Social Worker, Workplace Initiatives Specialist. This role will provide support to clients facing workplace issues or concerns, such as harassment or behavior management, through direct service, assessment, and referrals, intensive case management, and mental health counseling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and facilitate workshops, trainings, and groups for MAP and EAP contracts and community stakeholders on topics relevant to the performing arts and entertainment industry.
  • Provide direct services and counseling to a caseload of clients that fall under a MAP or EAP contract, as well as clients facing workplace-specific concerns.
  • Liaison with leadership in unions and industry employees to support them in navigating member and employee mental health and workplace behavior concerns.
  • Engage and work collaboratively with a wide variety of clients, their families, and significant others in a clinical process that facilitates development of a biopsychosocial assessment.
  • Respond to crises and intervene effectively.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree from an accredited School of Social Work.
  • State licensure (must be obtained within 6 months of hire).
  • Skilled at public speaking, facilitating workshops, and curriculum development.
  • Strong assessment, intensive clinical case management, and advocacy skills.
  • Crisis intervention skills are a must with the ability to engage a wide range of presentations.
Preferred Qualities
  • Experience with the entertainment community.
  • Availability to assist in agency-wide outreach to the entertainment community to provide information about Actors Fund services.
  • Available to conduct groups, seminars, or trainings during the evenings and weekends as needed.
