Childcare Mentor

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our School Age Program team at My Kids Childcare Inc.

Job Summary: As a Childcare Mentor, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and engaging environment for children aged 5-12. Your primary responsibility will be to supervise and interact with children, promoting their emotional and social development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise a group of children and engage in activities that promote their physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Model positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, demonstrating respect, honesty, and responsibility.
• Participate in planning and implementing program activities that align with My Kids Childcare Inc.'s core values: honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment, adhering to program standards and policies.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

• Ability to develop positive relationships with children and adults from diverse backgrounds.
• Willingness to train in bus driving (a plus).
• Ability to provide a physical and background check (BCI & FBI).
• CPR and First Aid training within 90 days of hire date.
• Complete ODJFS Child Care Staff Orientation within 30 days.

Working Conditions: This is a part-time position with the option to work full-time. The typical work schedule is between 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday (no weekends). Approximately 20-40 hours per week.
