Job Title: Financial Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at Elevate Energy. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function and contribute to the development of reporting tools to inform financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather, organize, and analyze financial and operational data from various sources to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and financial models to support financial metric reporting and provide insightful analysis.
  • Communicate financial information to finance department, business unit leads, and various stakeholders in clear, concise reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of accurate financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses, and prepare presentations and reports for senior management and the board.
  • Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to assess potential impacts on financial outcomes and identify potential risks and/or opportunities.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data through regular audits and reconciliations by implementing best practices in data management and reporting.
  • Collaborate with departments to develop annual operating budgets, periodic forecasting, and long-term financial plans.
  • Monitor budget and forecast vs. actual performance and provide analysis to support decision-making related to strategic initiatives and program expansions.
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights that drive organizational performance.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline data collection, reporting, and analysis processes.
  • Educate and train staff on the use of data tools and resources to improve data literacy across the organization.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or a related field, preferred.
  • At least three (3+) years as a Data Analyst or similar role, preferably in a nonprofit or financial setting.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Strong aptitude for technology and ability to develop technology-based solutions to streamline and improve processes.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning.
  • Strong P&L knowledge, understanding of GAAP, proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
  • Experience with accounting software.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting standards and practices.
  • Self-starter with the ability to create reports with and without direct oversight.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Compensation:

The total compensation for this position includes health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, etc.), defined contribution benefit (401k with contribution), professional development, generous paid time off policies, and a flexible schedule. This is an exempt individual contributor position with a salary range of $65,000 - $75,000, based on experience.
