LaBella Associates is expanding its due diligence, investigations, and remediation team. We are seeking a qualified Geologist to support our diverse range of projects.

The ideal candidate will have experience conducting field investigations, remediation activities, and preparing reports documenting work performed. Proposal development skills are a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing field work throughout New York State
  • Soil, soil vapor, and groundwater sampling
  • Supervising field activities and drilling on construction projects
  • Phase II inspections
  • Collecting, recording, and organizing field data in a concise manner
  • Data presentation, map creation, and report preparation
  • Deliverables on time and within budget
  • Maintaining open communication with project team members
  • Representing the company professionally and adhering to firm's core values
  • Conducting work to professional standards and following firm's QA/QC policy

Requirements:

  • B.S. degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or Engineering preferred
  • 5-10 years of experience in a related local environmental position
  • 40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills (active listening, written, and verbal)
  • Organized with strong attention to detail
  • Highly motivated, with excellent client service skills and a positive attitude
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Valid NYS driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation
