Job Summary

This internship is designed to provide hands-on training and development of essential skills for a fabricator/welder. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to learn and apply industry-standard techniques and best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and execute dimensional drawings to plan fabrication layouts
  • Weld fabricated parts to meet quality standards
  • Clean and prepare products for painting
  • Join, fabricate, and assemble metal structures using MIG and TIG welding techniques
  • Weld components in various positions and oversee machinery
  • Monitor machinery usage and temperature
  • Meet deadlines and adhere to safety regulations
  • Inspect completed welds for structural soundness and quality
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Requirements
  • Strong communication, mathematical, and reasoning skills
  • Good stamina for repetitive movements and long hours
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and work independently
  • Self-motivated and strong work ethic
  • Effective time management skills
Work Environment

This role requires working in an open environment with the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Some fabrication and/or print reading experience
  • Trade school or higher education
  • Welding certification
  • Prior experience with Flux, Mig arch, cutting torches, and welding machinery
