- Collaborate with customers, sales teams, and trade show participants to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Conduct time estimates for customer parts processing and optimize production workflows.
- Design and implement fixtures and workholding setups for demonstrations, test cuts, and turnkey projects.
- Utilize CAPPS conversational programming, CAM systems, and G-Code/Macro programming to generate CNC programs.
- Set up CNC machines with appropriate programs, tooling, workpieces, and fixtures.
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality.
- Generate engineering reports and maintain technical documentation.
- Communicate effectively with internal staff, customers, and suppliers.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field) preferred.
- 0-2 years of related experience.
- Strong knowledge of part processing, metal cutting, CNC programming, reading drawings, and machine setup.
- Basic understanding of metallurgy.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Frequent travel, vehicle operation, standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting.
- Periodic use of power equipment and desk work involving computers.
- Occasional lifting or moving of objects up to 50 lbs.
