Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare year-end tax projections and identify research planning ideas to obtain optimal tax minimization strategies for clients
  • Research federal, international, state, and local income tax regulations
  • Assist in preparing correspondence to clients regarding proposed and final Internal Revenue Service regulations affecting their tax positions
  • Prepare federal and international individual, partnership, limited liability company, S Corporation, and C Corporation income tax returns and supporting schedules
  • Gather data from clients and analyze tax-related financial information
  • Prepare quarterly estimated tax calculations
  • Assist in the development of economic models used to evaluate transactions for strategic planning and structuring purposes
  • Team with other colleagues and participate in client meetings
Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Bachelor of Science/Business Administration, Master of Science in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or other relevant field
  • Pursuing (or intent to pursue) CPA, JD or LL.M
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to articulate complex information
  • Strong analytical skills
  • High proficiency in spreadsheets
  • Ability to simultaneously work on several projects and effectively manage deadlines
  • High motivation to learn and grow
Compensation:

The hourly rate is $35 per hour.

Interns are not eligible to participate in Alvarez & Marsal's fringe benefits programs.
